Flat Rock awards day schedule is as follows on Monday, June 3rd: kindergarten graduation at 8:30, fifth grade at 9:30, third and fourth grade at 10:30, and first and second grade at 11:30.
Tomorrow, Monday, June 3rd, we will have our awards celebrations. In an effort to minimize traffic congestion, we will allow cars to park around the school and in grassy areas. For kindergarten and fifth grade celebrations, you will enter through the front door. For all other grade levels, you may enter through the front door or gym door.

This is a reminder that class pictures will be taken at Flat Rock Elementary School on Monday, April 8. Any student wishing to purchase a class picture should make payment before the picture is taken. Forms have been sent home in Friday Folders.
YOU'RE INVITED! Come observe a GOOD NEWS CLUB and see if it's something you would like to help out with. Good News Club is an after school ministry outreach of local churches that takes place at the school. Volunteers are always needed, and there are many roles --- not just teaching. Anderson School District Three is holding a fundraiser for the March of Dimes. If you would like to purchase a shirt, please email email@example.com or call Cheryl Smith at 348-6196 by Monday, March 11, 2019. The t-shirt is white and costs $15. Please add $1 for each X added to the size after XL. All proceeds from the shirt sale will be given to the March of Dimes. Wear your shirt and join faculty from Anderson Three at the March of Dimes walk on April 27, 2019.
This week was #employeeappreciation and the district office would like to say THANK YOU to our amazing employees! Anderson 3 would not be the same without the dedicated faculty and staff that work tirelessly to ensure our students receive the best possible education. We hope you enjoyed the BBQ lunch!
Good Hope Presbyterian Church recently donated $533.00 to the Weekend Snackpack Program. This donation was matched by an anonymous donor and will benefit the students of Flat Rock and Iva Elementary! Starr Baptist Church also supplies approximately 20 snackpacks each week to the students of Starr Elementary. Anderson Three is blessed and truly thankful for the love and support of our schools from the Starr and Iva communities.
Please remember as we celebrate Valentine's Day next week that Flat Rock Elementary will not accept deliveries to the school for any students. Students will be allowed to share snacks and cards with their classroom friends.
Because our family STEAM night has been cancelled for tomorrow night, the book fair will be open to students all day tomorrow, Tuesday, February 5th. Tomorrow is the last day of the book fair.
Due to large numbers of sickness, Flat Rock Elementary will not have our family STEAM night on Tuesday, February 5th. Thank you for your understanding. We want to keep our students and families healthy during this season.

Anderson School District 3 will be on a 2 hour delay Tuesday, December 11th.
Flat Rock Elementary will operate on a two hour delay on Tuesday, December 11th. School will open at 9:15 A.M and begin at 9:45 A.M. Second and fourth grades will Christmas Carol as scheduled. K4 and K5 will be rescheduled for Thursday, December 13th at 9:00 A.M. The rest of second grade and third grade will have Santa’s workshop tomorrow. Fourth and fifth grade will have Santa’s workshop on Wednesday.
All of the Anderson School Districts will meet at 5am tomorrow morning (12/11) to make a final decision on operations for Tuesday. We will post on the app and Facebook if there are any changes to the school schedule.
Flat Rock Elementary will be closed on Monday, December 10th due to inclement weather.
Flat Rock Elementary School will have a pajama day tomorrow, Friday, December 7th for all students. This is a fundraiser for kindergarten. Any student wishing to wear pajamas to school tomorrow should bring one dollar. Also, we will have our Terrific Kid Celebration tomorrow at 8 A M for those students who received an invitation last week.
This is a reminder that Flat Rock Elementary will have a pajama day tomorrow, November 30. There is no cost for the event.
Flat Rock will have our annual field days this week. Tomorrow, third and fifth grade will have field day in the morning, and fourth grade will have theirs tomorrow afternoon. K4 and K5 will have theirs Tuesday morning with first and second grade on Tuesday afternoon. Concessions will be sold. We look forward to seeing you.
Don't forget field days start in the morning! Snacks (including hot cocoa) will be available for purchase.
Our Fall Ball dance for 3rd-5th grade students is tomorrow (Thursday) after school until 4:30. Admission is $3 and students will be able to purchase concessions and raffle tickets during the dance.
Flat Rock Elementary Field Days will be November 19 and 20. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will have field day on November 19, and K4, K5, 1st, and 2nd grades will have field day on November 20. More details will be sent home next week.
Flat Rock Elementary will host our annual Fall Family Literacy Night on Tuesday, October 23rd at 6:00 pm. Our third, fourth, and fifth grade students will perform. All parents/guardians are invited to attend the School Improvement Council and Title I meetings at 5:30 pm before the program begins. We look forward to sharing this evening with our school community.

WYFF has incorrectly stated that all Anderson County districts are closed tomorrow. At this time, all Anderson County districts are open except Anderson 5. The other districts, including Anderson 3, plan to be on regular schedule tomorrow. The superintendents continue to monitor weather conditions and will have a conference call Thursday morning at 5 a.m. Any changes based on weather conditions will be announced after that call.

Mrs. Christenbury's class is using their STEAM skills to make sweet treats for the faculty and staff at Flat Rock Elementary. They plan to use their adaptive equipment to make many different things this school year. Thanks to Mrs. Lollis and Michelin for their donations that enable our class to practice these life skills.
We are anxiously awaiting Monday morning when our sweet students return to Flat Rock! In the meantime, go check out our video posted on both our new and old facebook pages. We would love to have 10,000 views before school on Monday morning!
Flat Rock Elementary will host Meet the Teacher tomorrow, August 14 from 4 to 6 pm. If you did not attend registration, you will need to bring proof of residency or notarized affidavit. We look forward to seeing all of you.
