|Mr. Daniel Crawford, Principal|
I grew up in Abbeville SC. I graduated from Abbeville High where I lettered in football and baseball. I graduated from Lander University in 2004 with a degree in history with an emphasis in education. I have worked at Greenwood High, Wright Middle in Abbeville , and now Starr-Iva. I graduated from Clemson University in 2010 with a Masters in Educational Administration. Before becoming a teacher I was fortunate to experience many different occupations ranging from farming and baling hay, to painter, factory worker, lawyers assistant, and fancy restaurant cook. I am a fourth generation teacher. Both of my parents were teachers. I married a teacher, Kathy. I have three crazy but awesome children, Breeden (We call him B), Miller, and Lora Jane. We live on our family farm in Level Land (Near Due West).

|Mr. William David Moore III, Assistant Principal|
From Starr Elementary to Starr-Iva and Crescent, I grew up an Anderson Three kid. When I was a student at Starr-Iva those many years ago, I never imagined that my name would one day be placed alongside the names of all the teachers and
administrators that had come before me – Bowen, Crawford, Daniel, Elrod, Herron, Johnson, Knight, McCown, Pettigrew, Smith, Thrasher, and so many others. After I graduated from Crescent, I earned a degree in history and secondary education from
Erskine College thinking I would become the next Al Stokes. But, alas, it wasn’t meant to be (at least not right away). Instead, my career path took a detour. I worked as a hearing officer in a state attorney office for four years dealing primarily with paternity,
child support, and medical insurance cases. I returned to my alma mater and worked as controller for a year, managing the college’s overall operating budget. I then took
over as the alumni director overseeing the school’s annual fundraising drive and organizing programs and events throughout the South. After my time at Erskine, I worked as a recruiter for a number of industrial sites throughout Anderson County until the opportunity to return to my true calling fell in my lap. After four years as a 6th grade
social studies teacher, eight years in 8th grade (during which I received my School Leadership degree from Furman University), and three years as assistant principal, my commitment to the academic success of every student has never wavered. This commitment and the success of my students would not have been possible without the
support of my wife, Dawn, and my kids: Taylor, Will, and Draven.
